the burden
pain in the ass
piece of shit
you are a curse
put on me by my mother
go away
leave me alone
I’m busy
and don’t have any time for you
I’m tired of your name
goddammit
I brought you into this world
I can take you out anytime I want
and believe you me
buster
I won’t miss your sorry ass
for a second

I hope anyone who hears these words coming out of their mouth when talking to their children will take a second to think about what they are doing, and why.
If you are a victim of childhood emotional abuse, please, use this poem.
The instructions are easy.
1) Read it to yourself, using the voice of your abuser in your head.
2) Read it out loud, in your own voice, and address it intentionally to the burden your abuser has placed on your life.
It’s not your fault, but don’t let it continue.
Love your children, and make them strong.
